Manage Products Task: UX Enhancements to Improve Performance

We've made some minor adjustments to the way that data is saved and validated within the Manage Products task. These changes are expected to improve performance by reducing the volume of changes that are saved at one time.

We've made 2 key changes:

  • Navigating away from a draft product will save, without triggering validations: This minimises obstructions to the user when they are providing quick updates to multiple products.
  • 'Save' button is now 'Save Product': When you click the 'Save Product' button, this will save and validate only that product. This gives users discretion over when they validate input, checking for completeness when ready. Previously, this operation saved and validated all products which took time and could make the experience less focused.

The 'Complete' action will continue to save and validate all product drafts to ensure the task can be safely closed.
