Product Access Layers in Conflict Resolution

The Conflict Resolution task has been updated so that users only see the products and product fields they are entitled to see. Configurators also have the option to nominate Product Categories whose conflicted fields should default to "Current Verified Data" instead of "This Journey".

This release enables you to:

  • Apply Product Access Layers to Conflict Resolution. Where Product Access Layers are in use, products and conflicted product fields a user is not entitled to see are hidden from the Conflict Resolution task. Hidden conflicts are resolved automatically using the same defaulting rules as visible conflicts — the user is not required to do anything with them, is not blocked from completing the task, and is not shown any message, count, or icon indicating that conflicts are hidden.
  • Default product field selections by category. When configuring the Conflict Resolution task in Journey Builder, you can select one or more Product Categories whose conflicted fields should default to "Current Verified Data" rather than the standard "This Journey". A user with Edit permissions in the task can still change the selection on any visible conflict.
