KYRA:Docs: Tenant-Level and Document Type Instructions

KYRA:Docs Managed Knowledge Base Instructions can now apply more broadly than a single Data Group or Field. Select Tenant (all documents) to write one Instruction that applies to every document in your tenant, or select Document Type to write one Instruction that applies to a specific Document Type, such as Passport, instead of repeating the same rule against each field. For example, a tenant-level Entity Data Extraction Instruction can tell KYRA:Docs to read all dates as DD/MM/YYYY, and a Passport Instruction can tell it to return the full four-digit year wherever the expiry date shows only two digits.

Tenant-level Instructions are available for Classification, Metadata Extraction, Entity Data Extraction and Related Party Extraction. Document Type Instructions are available for the extraction operations. Existing Instructions are unaffected.

Tenant-level Instructions are applied before Document Type Instructions, and Data Group and Field Instructions take precedence where they conflict. Each operation can have one tenant-level Instruction and one Instruction per Document Type, and Classification Instructions can only be set at tenant level. As these Instructions apply to every matching document processed, test them on a sample of documents before relying on them.

Permissions impact

No new permissions are introduced. Creating and editing tenant-level and Document Type Instructions uses the existing RAG Resource Access and RAG Resource Edit permissions under Intelligent Document Processing. Users without these permissions cannot view or change Managed Knowledge Base entries.
