Separate connected journey per matching product (Product Scoping Rules)

This release introduces a new configuration option for Product Scoping Rules of type Connected Journey, allowing you to control whether matching products are grouped into a single connected journey or launched into separate connected journeys.

What’s new

A new toggle is available on Scoping Rules Configuration for Connected Journey rules:

Separate journey per matching product
- Off (default): Current behaviour is unchanged. All products matching the rule are grouped into one connected journey
- On: When the Product Journey Launchpad task is triggered, the platform creates a separate connected journey for each individual product that matches the rule

Why this matters

Previously, connected journeys were always grouped per matching rule, which is efficient for region or product-family rollups. This enhancement supports scenarios where each product must follow its own parallel process from launch, even when scoping characteristics are shared.

How it works

The toggle is available only for Product Scoping Rules of type Connected Journey.
The toggle does not apply to Product Scoping Rules of type Task Display.
Behaviour is evaluated when the Product Journey Launchpad task runs and evaluates products against Connected Journey Product Scoping Rules.

Versioning and backwards compatibility

The toggle is Off by default for:
- new rules
- new versions of existing rules
The toggle is also visible in read-only views of historical published versions created before this release (for consistency and auditability).

Permissions

No new permissions are introduced. Viewing and editing this toggle is governed by existing permissions for creating and editing Product Scoping Rules.

Product Enablement User Guide - Product Connected Journeys

Product Journey Checkpoint task

This release introduces a new Product Journey Checkpoint task type for onboarding journeys that launch multiple product-specific connected journeys in parallel. The checkpoint acts as a synchronisation point in the parent journey, ensuring product-level work is finalised before the parent journey proceeds to subsequent steps (for example, client-level verification and activation).

This release enables you to:

Add a Product Journey Checkpoint task to a Journey Schema in Journey Builder.
Pause a parent journey until all connected product journeys launched from the same parent are finalised.
View the set of launched connected journeys directly within the checkpoint task and navigate to them (subject to existing access permissions).

Configuration rules and validation

A Journey Schema can contain only one Product Journey Launchpad task.
A Product Journey Checkpoint task can be added only to a Journey Schema that contains a Product Journey Launchpad task.
The checkpoint must be placed in a sequential stage and process that occurs after the stage containing the Launchpad task.
If a user attempts to save a Journey Schema that violates these placement rules, the save fails and an error toast is displayed:
- Product Journey Checkpoint must be placed in a sequential stage and process that comes after the Product Journey Launchpad task
- The invalid journey elements are highlighted in red.

Runtime behaviour

When the Product Journey Checkpoint task becomes active, it identifies all connected journeys launched by the Product Journey Launchpad task from the same parent journey and displays them in a table with the following columns:

Journey (the Product Scoping Rule name that triggered the connected journey)
Name (the connected journey instance name; hyperlink to open, subject to permissions)
Journey Status
Application Status
Started

Completion logic

The Complete button is disabled by default.
The Complete button is enabled only when all listed connected journeys have a Journey Status of Complete or Cancelled.

Unlinking relationships from an investment account

This feature introduces a consistent Unlink action for removing linked relationships from an investment account without deleting the underlying records. Users can now unlink a verified bank account relationship from an investment account. The Unlink icon and confirmation modals are also standardised across bank accounts, funds, and related parties to clearly indicate that only the link is removed.

ETL Post Processing for Product Access Layers

Adding to the recent release of ETL Post Processing, you can now apply Product Access Layers during ETL migrations, ensuring migrated data aligns with access and security standards.

This capability can be enabled per ETL project using Post Load Actions. Once ETL Load completes, the recalculations run asynchronously and apply to all Products included in the migration.

Dynamic Product Access Layers: Re-evaluates and applies rule-based access control for Products. Where Products satisfy a Dyanmic Access Layer rule with 'Product' data type, the associated Access Layers will be assigned. If no rules are met by a product or if the toggle is disabled in the ETL project, then default access layers (Enterprise and Global) will be applied.

Related Party Access Layer Inheritance

To support scalability, the behaviour of Related Party Access Layers Inheritance has been updated to use the overall hierarchy association, rather than the journey context. This means that entities will inherit from their closest 'Client' parent entity, which is not necessarily the root entity in journey. From March 2026, any tenant that enables this functionality will have this new behaviour applied. A migration will need to be performed for any clients already using the existing functionality and permission will be required before applying. Please reach out to your representative to begin this process.

ETL Post Processing

ETL Post Processing enables automatic recalculation of Dynamic Access Layers (DAL) and Jurisdiction assignments for entities created or updated during ETL migrations, ensuring migrated data aligns with standard platform governance and policy rules.

This capability can be enabled per ETL project using Post Load Actions. Once ETL Load completes, the recalculations run asynchronously and apply to all entities included in the migration.

Conditional Retention Durations Added to Data Protection Regimes

Data Protection Regimes have been enhanced to support conditional retention durations. This allows for dynamic retention period calculation, such as having a longer retention period for the Norway Jurisdiction when the entity has a High Risk Rating. Where no conditional rules are configured (or none are matched), the regime’s default retention duration continues to apply.

Key Details

Data Protection Regimes now include an optional Conditional Retention Durations section alongside the existing default retention duration.
Conditional retention rules use the standard Logic Engine pattern with Main Entity and Main Entity Metadata data sources.
At offboarding, conditional retention sets are evaluated in order; the first matching set determines the applied retention period, otherwise the default applies.
The applied retention selection is stored on the Data Deletion Process, including new properties to support audit of the returned retention period:
- dataProtectionRegimeId
- conditionalRetentionDescription (when a conditional set was applied)
- appliedConditions (Logic Engine conditions from a satisfied condition set are capstored as JSON text).
Advanced Reporting has been extended to expose these additional Data Deletion Process properties via the Data Protection reporting table.

Implications

Existing Data Protection Regimes continue to behave as before where no conditional retention durations are configured.
Offboarding outcomes are more auditable: the applied regime, retention period, and (where relevant) the evaluated conditions are captured for review and reporting.

Task reassignment notifications

Re-evaluation of Entity Access Layers is now triggered following Partial Data Deletion

When an entity undergoes partial data deletion, the data for an offboarded jurisdiction is deleted, having reached the end of it's retention period. With this deletion, related products may also be selected to delete. When using Dynamic Access Layers, if the deleted data was an input to the Entity's Access Layers, they will now be re-evaluated based on the remaining data.

Automatic Client Re-onboarding

This release introduces Automatic Client Re-onboarding, an enhancement that simplifies bringing previously offboarded jurisdictions back into scope.

When the Automatic Re-onboarding Toggle is disabled, re-onboarding continues to require users to explicitly select the jurisdictions they intend to re-onboard on the Journey Launchpad; only selected jurisdictions return to scope. To make this clearer, the Re-onboarding Journey Hub now displays messaging when scoping criteria are met for a jurisdiction that was not selected for re-onboarding.

When the Automatic Reonboarding Toggle is enabled, partially offboarded jurisdictions automatically return to scope once their trigger conditions are met again, while fully offboarded jurisdictions still require a Re-onboarding Journey to reapply the client chip and re-evaluate policy scoping. Data deletion schedules will be paused while an offboarded jurisdiction is being reonboarded.

Alias Name Screening has been extended to the LexisNexis integration, allowing entities to be screened using multiple names, such as aliases (AKA), former names (FKA), and native-script name variants—within a single screening submission. This capability, which is already available for WCO and custom screening providers, has now been enhanced to deliver the same multi-name screening experience for LexisNexis.

Screening results for each alias are consolidated under a single legal entity, with clear traceability of which name triggered each match. This enhancement reduces manual overhead, improves screening coverage, and increases transparency by removing the need to submit and reconcile multiple screening requests for the same entity.

By embedding our Extract Transform Load (ETL) capabilities directly into Agency Requests, customers can process high-volume agency onboarding while still using the standard Agency data model, connected journeys and policy-driven validation.

Use Agency ETL task to bulk upload Underlying Principals, Managed Relationships and Products for high volume Agency Requests (up to 1,000 Underlying Principals and 5,000 Products per journey).
Leverage powerful ETL capabilities, so you are not tied to a single file structure and can preview and validate your data before it's loaded:
- Upload CSV files per data type and Data Group.
- Filter data to target specific subsets of larger files.
- Map System Fields and Policy / Product Policy fields (with Automap and mapping memory).
- Map non-aligned values to Fenergo lookups using Map Lookups.
- Use Preview and Validation, including date handling via Date Parse.
Reduce duplication through a configurable Duplicate Search step for Underlying Principals:
Upgrade your existing Agency Request Journey. This task is used in place of the existing UI tasks. You can simply update your existing Agency Request Journey by replacing the existing UI tasks (Add Parties to Request and Agency Request Details) with the Agency ETL task. If you want retain a journey for low volume processing, we recommend using different journey types so that users can easily pick the experience they want.

Configuration Release Hub (Beta)

Managing configuration across multiple tenants can be challenging when relying on manual, ad-hoc imports. Configuration Release Hub introduces a modern, centralised mechanism for creating, versioning and deploying configuration, enabling clients to maintain configuration in a single source tenant (typically Dev) and promote versioned snapshots to higher environments through controlled, repeatable processes.

Using Configuration Bundles, customers can group related configuration changes into publishable versions that are safely stored and imported via API. This ensures consistent deployment across UAT, Pre-Prod and Prod, supports stronger governance, and aligns configuration management with standard SDLC and CI/CD practices.
This enables predictable, auditable configuration promotion and reduces risk by eliminating uncontrolled tenant-to-tenant changes.

This Beta release enables you to:

Maintain all configuration centrally in a designated source tenant (e.g., Dev)
Create Configuration Bundles and publish versioned snapshots of configuration
Automatically calculate and validate required dependencies
Promote configuration to higher environments exclusively via API, enabling CI/CD automation
Track import progress with per-item results and access detailed logs for troubleshooting
Improve governance by decoupling configuration creation from configuration deployment

Current Beta Limitations:

This optimisation provides a consistent user experience across Fenergo tasks, ensuring that related party information can be captured, searched, and maintained in the same intuitive way used elsewhere in the platform.

Key Improvements

Aligned User Experience
The Related Party modal within the Investment Account task now follows the same layout, flow, and interaction pattern as the standard Related Party capture task.
This provides a familiar, streamlined experience for users performing related party capture across different task types.
Simplified Search and Link Process
Users can perform a search using minimal input, a search is permitted when at least one field in the Related Party Basic Details panel is populated.
Search results are displayed inline within the modal, enabling users to immediately review and either link an existing entity or create a new one.
Consistent Validation and Save Logic
Mandatory validations are enforced at the point of saving. The relationship between the investment account and the related party is only created when the user selects Save.

Impact

The behaviour and layout of the Related Party modal in the Investment Account task are now consistent with the standard Related Party capture process.
This optimisation improves usability and reduces training overhead by providing a single, unified approach to capturing related party data across Fenergo tasks.
Relationships captured within the Investment Account task remain specific to that account and do not trigger global related party verification.

Managed Relationships entities are integral to the agency data model. They are optional and can be left unnamed or can be manually named. We've added an option to automatically apply a "Legal Entity Name" value that follows the format: "MR - [Agent Legal Entity Name] - [UP Legal Enttity Name]".

When toggled on, the system will insert this text into the legalEntityName field for Managed Relationships that are in scope for an Agency Request journey and currently have no name (new or existing). This text can be overwritten if you have configured the Agency Request Details or Managed Relationship Details tasks to include the legalEntityName data requirement for MR's.

The toggle to enable this is found on the Add Parties to Request task (where MRs are created).

Data Deletion Enhanced to Preserve Related Party Data and Documents

The Data Deletion feature has been enhanced to ensure that entity records with outbound associations (i.e. where the entity is a Related Party to another entity) are not fully deleted. Instead, Client-specific data and documents are removed, while Related Party information is preserved. This ensures compliance with data protection regulations while maintaining critical relationship data.

Key Details

Related Party-mapped data, documents (and corresponding audit records) are retained, even if they are also mapped to Client requirements. Client-only data, documents, and audit records are deleted.
Global policy is automatically reinstated and marked In Scope on the entity profile.
Associations (inbound and outbound) are retained.
Related Party Launchpad journeys are preserved while Client journeys are deleted.
The Data Deletion Execution task applies the rules for Full Deletion, Partial Deletion, and Related Party Preservation.

Implications

Related Party records remain available for downstream processes, reporting, and integrations, even after Client-specific data is removed.
Some Related Party data may still be deleted if it was only in scope due to another Client’s jurisdiction. All Global and explicitly in-scope Related Party requirements are preserved.
No new configurations or feature flags are required.

We've added the Managed Relationship entity association to the Related Parties card of the Underlying Principal's EPP. This allows users to navigate directly to the MR from the UP. To simplify navigating large volumes of products managed by an Agent entity, we’ve introduced the Underlying Principals tab to replace the 'Agency Products' tab.

Users typically look for a specific Underlying Principal so that they can review their associated products. This new tab supports that workflow by displaying all Underlying Principals whose products are managed by the selected Agent. Users can:

Use Search and filter to quickly find the Underlying Principal(s) they need
Expand an Underlying Principal to view their products in a nested table
Search and filter within the product table as well

This experience is configurable. Displayed columns for Underlying Principals are sourced from the ‘Indexed’ fields in the ‘Basic Details’ category of the Entity Profile. This category can be updated in the Entity Profile Configuration page for Company entities.

Today, we've introduced a small enhancement to improve usability and scalability of the Manage Products task in Agency contexts. Agency Products which are associated to an entity with an 'Investment Manager' product relationship, will no longer be visible in the Manage Products tab. Agency Products are maintained from the context of the 'Owner' i.e. the Fund, so displaying these products within the Manage Products task for an Agent entity adds noise when managing their principal products. To support this configuration scenario, we have introduced a new configuration toggle to the Manage Products task. When enabled (optional) the 'Ready For Sequential Task Evaluation' toggle will hold the Manage Products task from closing until propagation of product data to other sources has completed. When the next task triggers, product data changes will be fully available for evaluation.

When disabled, Dynamic Access Layers are calculated upon Entity Draft creation, Journey Cancellation, and completion of specific journey tasks. Enabling the toggle triggers recalculation whenever an Entity Draft Update event occurs (e.g., on save). However, users who are lacking the resulting access layers could lose access to an in-progress task, so a journey's task assignments should align to the inputs collected that can result in updated access layers.

We released Product Risk Assessment in May of this year. The feature will assess the risk of products that were added/updated in the current journey. Verified data is never directly changed, so we need to bring onboarded products into review in order for them to be assessed.
