Fenergo Digital Agents
Why We Built Agents
We recognise that within the CLM ecosystem, financial institutions still face an ongoing challenge: compliance and client lifecycle processes are highly manual, time-consuming, and resource-heavy. Teams spend countless hours reconciling client data, screening against multiple lists, and processing documents - all while regulatory expectations increase and client patience decreases.
These inefficiencies create bottlenecks, particularly in areas like periodic reviews, where large backlogs build up and low-risk clients require the same manual effort as high-risk ones. This slows down operations, increases costs, and frustrates clients.
Fenergo designed Digital Agents to directly address these pain points. By embedding AI into the heart of the platform, our Agents bring automation, intelligence, and governance together - helping institutions reduce cycle times, improve accuracy, and focus their skilled staff on the cases that truly matter. There is huge potential in reducing manual workloads and creating value from your data by deploying our trusted Agents.
Fenergo's Digital Agents must be specifically enabled on a Fenergo tenant by a Fenergo SaaS Administrator. If you are interested in our Agentic offering and don’t currently have it, enabled please speak to your Fenergo representative for more information.
What Are Fenergo Digital Agents?
Digital Agents are specialized AI-powered assistants that automate distinct compliance and client lifecycle tasks. Unlike generic automation, each Agent is designed with a clear scope, explainability, and governance, so clients can deploy them confidently.
Today’s Agents
-
Data Sourcing Agent: Retrieves the latest client and related party data from external providers. It reconciles this against existing records, identifies discrepancies, and autonomously updates profiles when no material conflicts are found.
-
Significance Agent: Evaluates whether any detected changes are “material” (e.g., change of address, beneficial ownership, or legal status). It uses configurable rules to decide whether a case can continue straight through or should be escalated.
-
Screening Agent: Automatically screens entities and related parties against sanctions lists, watchlists, and adverse media sources. It triages results, resolving low-risk matches automatically while escalating uncertain or higher-risk hits for human review.
-
Document Agent: Uses AI to classify uploaded documents, extract metadata, split documents if necessary, and link them to the correct compliance requirements. Additionally, offers the ability to extract KYC data and stated related parties directly from uploaded documents. This allows for “hands-free” processing of document-heavy workflows.
-
Autocompletion Agent: Checks if all policy conditions for tasks (data, documents, related parties) are already met. If so, it automatically completes the task, removing unnecessary manual effort and enabling straight-through processing.
-
Kyra the Digital Assistant: A conversational digital assistant that allows compliance and operations teams to query operational data, policies, and workflows in natural language. Kyra surfaces real-time insights, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
What’s Next
The roadmap includes Agents for onboarding, orchestration, outreach, and identity verification. These will expand automation across the entire client lifecycle, moving institutions closer to a truly end-to-end, intelligent compliance ecosystem.
The Benefits of Agents
-
Operational Efficiency: Automating repetitive tasks reduces manual effort and accelerates core processes. Institutions can significantly reduce review times, freeing teams from low-value work.
-
Accuracy and Risk Management: Agents apply policies consistently, eliminating human error in routine tasks. Screening hits are triaged objectively, and data updates follow configurable rules-ensuring compliance without unnecessary escalations.
-
Transparency and Governance: Every agent action is logged, traceable, and explainable in a central Command Centre. Compliance teams can drill down to see exactly why an action was taken, and override decisions at any point.
-
Scalable, Configurable Automation: Agents can be toggled on or off at the journey level. This gives institutions fine-grained control over where and how automation is applied, without needing to deploy all Agents at once.
-
Built-In Trust and Compliance: Agents are developed in alignment with leading regulatory frameworks. With rigorous privacy, bias-mitigation, and security controls, clients can trust that automation supports-not undermines-compliance.
A New Way to Work
The role of Agents is not to replace human expertise but to amplify it. By automating the repetitive “heavy lifting,” Agents give compliance professionals more time for judgment calls, nuanced risk analysis, and client engagement.
Agents also enhance oversight. The Command Centre provides:
- Fully traceable action histories of every Agent decision.
- Human-readable rationales behind all outputs.
- Drill-down transparency at journey, task, and field level.
- Override capabilities, ensuring human-in-the-loop governance is always preserved.
The result is a new operating model where AI and human teams collaborate, driving efficiency while strengthening control.
